General Information About
Your Stay
Heres some general information
and just a little bit about what to expect during your stay.
Approximately
45-minutes from Sky Harbor airport (A), Charles Staleys
Bed & Barbell is a large residential home located
at Seville Country Club in Gilbert, Arizona (B).

- In addition to your private
bedroom and bath, the facility includes a heated salt-water
pool, spa, laundry, big-screen TV, X-Box 360, full kitchen,
wireless internet, barbeque, a huge back yard, outdoor
firepit, his & hers bicycles, and (of course!) a full
array of gym equipment, including strongman implements
(Monster tires, atlas stones, kegs, farmers walk,
logs, etc), the Vertec vertical jump measurement system,
sandbags, a Concept II Rower, kettlebells, bumper plates,
several tons of free weights, medicine balls from 2-25
pounds, the Intelemetrix untrasound bodycomposition measurement
system, Myotest and Tendo force-measurement devices, a
treatment table, and much more.
- Although we sometimes bring
clients to & from the airport, we do recommend that
you rent a car while youre here. Theres lots
to do and see, and we want you to have maximum opportunity
to enjoy all Arizona has to offer.

- Like all Bed & Breakfasts,
we have a resident staffer coach Phil Stevens. During
your visit, Phil is there to recommend a good restaurant,
suggest an interesting day-trip, or to provide any assistance
you might require during your stay.
- Bed & Barbell also
serves as the central office for Staley Training Systems.
When we have guests, we generally limit employee hours
to the times when youll be training to minimize
noise, etc., during your stay.
- Generally you can expect
at least one workout for every two days you stay with
us, however, we also have two group workouts per week
for our local clientele, and youre welcome to participate
in as many or a few workout sessions as you like.

- We work with a great local
soft-tissue/massage therapist if you have a bum
rotator cuff or just need to work out some kinks, let
us know and well get a session scheduled for you.
- Please tell us your favorite
food/snack/beverages, and well stock them in the
fridge prior to your arrival. We dont provide all
your food per se, but we like to furnish some basics so
you dont need to run straight to the store as soon
as you arrive. Oh were not food nazis
so were happy to get you ice cream, pizza, etc.,
whatever you like, just say the word!
- Weve got a wide array
of training (and non-training) DVDs for your viewing
enjoyment. If youve got a favorite movie youd
like to see while youre here, let us know and well
make sure we have it for you when you arrive!
- Bed & Barbell is located
close to several shopping centers, so youll be close
to anything you might need to purchase during your stay.
Also feel free to pet the llamas and goats (!) and pick
as many oranges as you like.
- Charles and Phil are avid
(albeit novice!) golfers. If youd like to play a
round and/or schedule a lesson with Jeff Campbell, please
bring your clubs!

- Finally, we do our very
best to make sure all our guests have a memorable experience.
Weve been known to fill the bedroom with flowers
for a couples romantic weekend away or furnish a
birthday cake and balloons for a surprise birthday. If
you have any special requests, or if there is anything
else we can do to make you feel right at home, just let
us know and well do our best to make it happen!

Talks About Her Stay at Bed & Barbell
...It's
really nice! They ask you about everything you like
and it's all there when you arrive. You'll feel
like an iron VIP! Everything is so comfortable and
hospitable. You should totally go when you get
a break.
You can stay a short
time or a long time. Charles showed up each morning
at 9am sharp and stayed until noon. At his suggestion,
we ended up using most of the time for business and
marketing consulting, plus I got ill, but I had such
a blast during the training time I had--and you can
see the results I got! I only wish I hadn't caught
a cold and could have spent some more time training.
I can't wait to go back! It's like the happiest place
on earth!
He's
an amazing coach. Everything is fast, positive
and upbeat. It's like play and he gets genuinely excited
as you catch on, he claps his hands and yells, "Yes!"
It's all positive reinforcement,
he never tells you you're "wrong" but merely
focuses on getting you to repeat and improve what
you're doing correctly.
